The Hobbywing 2480 Propeller Blades (CW) are premium replacement folding blades designed for the XRotor X6 Plus and G2 series. Sold as a blades-only set (without clamp), these are the perfect cost-saving solution for replacing individual damaged propellers. Manufactured from high-density carbon-fiber reinforced nylon, they provide the same factory-spec lift and balance as the original set.

Product Details

n the high-intensity environment of Indian agriculture spraying, propeller damage is often limited to the blades themselves. This "Without Clamp" SKU is designed for the savvy operator who already owns the CNC aluminum mounts. By reusing your existing Hobbywing clamps, you reduce waste and maintenance costs while ensuring your drone returns to the air with 100% aerodynamic integrity.

Key Technical Advantages:

  • Factory-Matched Aerodynamics: These blades are identical to the ones included in the full 2480 kit, ensuring a 24-inch diameter and 8.0-inch pitch. This guarantees that your motor's PID tuning and efficiency remain unchanged after replacement.

  • Impact-Resistant Carbon-Nylon: The composite material is engineered to be rigid enough to prevent "flutter" at high RPMs but resilient enough to resist shattering during contact with soft vegetation.

  • Simplified Field Repair: Swapping blades is a 2-minute process. Simply unscrew the main pivot bolts on your existing clamp, slide out the old blades, and install the new CW replacements.

  • Dynamic Balance Pre-Checked: Each blade undergoes factory balancing to minimize the vibrations that can interfere with sensitive 2026-gen flight controllers and RTK GPS modules.

  • CW Rotation Specific: Optimized for Clockwise rotation, ensuring the leading edge and airfoil shape provide maximum downward thrust for heavy-lift 12S-14S platforms.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. What exactly is included in the "Blades Only" package?

This package contains one pair (two individual blades) of 24-inch carbon-fiber folding propellers. It does not include the CNC aluminum propeller mount, the hub, or the mounting bolts. This is intended as a cost-effective replacement for pilots who have damaged their blades but still have a functional Hobbywing hub.

2. Can I use these blades to replace CCW (Counter-Clockwise) propellers?

No. These are CW (Clockwise) blades. Propeller blades have a specific airfoil shape and pitch direction. Installing CW blades on a motor spinning CCW will produce downward thrust (pushing the drone into the ground) and will likely cause the drone to flip during the takeoff sequence.

3. Is it safe to replace only one blade if the other is still intact?

It is strongly discouraged. Propeller blades are factory-balanced in pairs. Even if a single blade looks identical, a slight weight or mass distribution difference between an old blade and a new one can cause severe high-frequency vibrations. These vibrations can damage motor bearings and confuse the flight controller’s IMU. Always replace blades in pairs.

4. Are these blades compatible with other brands of propeller mounts?

These blades are specifically engineered for the Hobbywing XRotor series (X6/X8/X9). While they may physically fit some 10mm or 8mm bolt-hole mounts, the root thickness and bolt-hole diameter are precision-matched to Hobbywing CNC hubs. Using them with non-Hobbywing mounts can lead to improper blade tracking or structural failure.

5. How tight should the bolts be when I re-install these into my old hub?

The "Swing Test" is the industry standard: tighten the bolts until there is no vertical "play" or wobbling at the root, but the blades can still fold and unfold under their own weight when the motor is tilted. Over-tightening can crush the carbon fiber root, leading to a blade snapping mid-flight.
