AMASS 24AWG Black Wire Flexibility View for Tight Drone Builds

Genuine AMASS 24AWG Ultra Flexible Silicone Wire - 1 Meter (Black) - Precision Signal & Micro Power

₹29.00
The AMASS 24AWG Silicone Wire (Black) is an ultra-supple, low-current cable engineered for tight electronic spaces. Utilizing a 40-strand tinned copper core and a 200°C-rated silicone jacket, it safely handles up to 3A continuous current. This 1-meter black unit is the standard for negative signal rails, receiver telemetry, and sensor wiring on professional UAVs.

As flight controllers in 2026 become denser with smaller pads, routing thick wires can cause "pad lifting" during crashes. The AMASS 24AWG prevents this. It acts as a mechanical shock absorber; the wire will flex and bend long before it transfers any strain to the delicate solder joint on your expensive AIO board.

Key Technical Advantages:

  • Zero-Stress Routing: With approximately 40 micro-strands of 0.08mm tinned copper, this wire feels like thread. It is completely limp, allowing you to route it through complex flight controller stacks without exerting upward pressure on the boards.

  • Immune to Soldering Irons: The high-purity silicone insulation is rated for -60°C to +200°C. It will not shrink back, melt, or expose bare wire when you are soldering in cramped quarters, preventing accidental shorts between microscopic pads.

  • Tinned for Durability: The tinned copper core prevents the oxidation ("black wire" disease) prevalent in humid Indian environments. This ensures your critical telemetry and receiver signals remain strong over the lifespan of the drone.

  • Micro-Footprint: At just 1.4mm in diameter, it is perfectly sized for twisting. You can tightly braid three 24AWG wires (e.g., for a receiver) to reject electromagnetic interference (EMI) while still occupying less space than a single 18AWG wire.

  • Ideal for Crimping: The 1.4mm outer diameter is perfectly optimized for crimping into tiny 1.0mm or 1.25mm JST connectors (like SH or GH plugs) commonly found on modern flight controllers.

FAQ: Top 5 Questions on AMASS 24AWG Black

Q1: Can I use 24AWG to power my digital VTX (like DJI O3)?

A: We don't recommend it. While it might work for signal lines on a VTX, modern digital VTX units pull significant current (often over 2A continuous). Using 24AWG for power can lead to voltage sag and video cutouts. Use 20AWG or 22AWG for VTX power.

Q2: Is 24AWG better than 26AWG for my receiver?

A: It is a preference. 26AWG is slightly thinner and more flexible, but 24AWG is physically stronger and easier to strip/solder for beginners. Both are excellent for ELRS or Crossfire receiver wiring.

Q3: Can I use this for my 1S Tiny Whoop battery lead?

A: No. Even tiny 1S motors pull more current than 24AWG can safely handle, and the wire will get very hot. For 1S battery leads, use 20AWG or 22AWG.

Q4: Does the insulation melt like standard wire?

A: No. Generic PVC wire melts the second an iron touches it. AMASS silicone wire is "burn-proof" and will only char slightly if held under extreme, prolonged heat.

Q5: Will this wire fit in a standard JST-SH connector?

A: Yes. The 1.4mm outer diameter is the standard size used for crimping the tiny metal pins that slide into JST-SH (1.0mm pitch) and JST-GH (1.25mm pitch) connector housings.

Expert Guide Question: Are you using this to wire up a micro receiver (RX) or a GPS module? Depending on the peripheral, I can suggest the best braiding or twisting technique to minimize electromagnetic interference (EMI) from your ESCs!
